Welcome to the 2008 Golden Tori Awards nomination page!

Once again, as for the last ten years, we wish to recognize the excellent artistic and technical merits of our beloved program called Bryce. We are accepting nominations in various categories.

For all categories, please follow these guidelines:

1. All images must have used Bryce as the primary program of creation (as stated by the artist).

2. All images must have first been posted to the web between December 1, 2007 (ie., the end of last year's nomination period) and November 31, 2008 (the end of this year's nomination period).

3. For each image please provide these facts: A) the artist's name, B) the title of the image, and C) the URL at which the image may be viewed.

Artist:  the artists name

Title:  The name of the piece

URL:  The weblink for the image site.

4. Individual categories may also have further requirements for the images to qualify…please check the listing for that category when posting your nominations.  Place your nominations in the category to which the image most closely adheres.

5. Images will require two separate nominations to qualify for voting status. 

6. To make a nomination, click on the "Leave a Comment" link in the appropriate category.

Once nominations close (on November 31, 2008), voting will commence on December 1, and run through December 31.  Winners will be tabulated, and announced at our annual Golden Tori Awards Show and Chat during January, 2009.  Further announcements will be made of the date and time for the show.

This is the area for nominating the Best All-Round Bryce Image for the year 2008.

This is an open category.  Anything goes, but we are looking for the best example of what can be acheived by any artist using Bryce.  Use your best judgement, and give recognition to what makes our beloved program great.

This is the area for nominations for Technical Merit in Bryce-Only Rendering.

Please folllow the general guidlines for qualification as stated in the main Nominations message.

This is an restricted category.  Only Bryce renders are acceptable. Post-work is not permitted, with the exception of signatures.  The main image must be "Straight from the render".

Imported models are permitted.  Imported textures are permitted.

This is the area for nominations for Technical Merit in Bryce-Only Texturing.

Please folllow the general guidlines for qualification as stated in the main Nominations message.

This is an restricted category.  Only Bryce textures are acceptable. Imported textures are not permitted.  The textures must be derived from the Deep Texture Editor (ie., nothing which can be accessed through the "Golden Leo" image area of the Texture Editor).

Imported models are permitted.  Post-work are permitted.

This is the area for nominations for Technical Merit in Bryce-Only Modelling.

Please folllow the general guidlines for qualification as stated in the main Nominations message.

This is an restricted category.  Only Bryce created models may be employed, using only the provided primitives, terrains, symmetrical lattices, or metaballs.

Imported textures are permitted. Post-work is permitted.
